About Kirsty's
Since 2009, I’ve been dedicated to creating food that is free from allergens, full of flavour, and completely safe. It all started when my son was diagnosed with severe food allergies, and I struggled to find meals that were both healthy and suitable for him. So, I began making everything from scratch and Kirsty’s was born.
Today, our purpose-built 14-allergen free factory in Harrogate produces delicious and nutritious meals that everyone can enjoy, without compromise. Every dish is made in small batches, with care, using high quality ingredients.
We are proud to do things differently. From going the extra mile to ensure allergen safety, to reducing our environmental footprint and supporting our local community. And we are just getting started. This year, we are focused on launching even more innovative products, supporting those navigating allergy diagnoses, and continuing to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our customers.
A message from Kirsty
I started my business when I discovered my son, Jacob, was allergic to nuts and intolerant to gluten and dairy. After realising that the current free-from food option were not particularly healthy, I decided to roll up my sleeves and make everything from scratch.
Jacob became a but fan of my healthy, free-from ice cream, which led to my ‘eureka’ moment! I went on to launch my ice cream in health food shops across the UK and in 2010, I took a leap of faith and stepped into Dragons Den to pitch my business.
I worked with Peter Jones and Duncan Bannantyne for the next three years which was an amazing experience. As the business developed and demands grew, I struggled to find the time to seek healthy meals for those evenings when the time was short. There was a serious lack of healthy, free-from alternatives, so I decided to launch a range of healthy, chilled ready meals that catered for everyone with intolerances.
In 2012, I rebranded as Kirsty’s and the first range of naturally healthy, free-from chilled ready meals launched into supermarkets.
Our meals are designed to be nutritious and satisfying, packed full of taste and are thoughtfully made. Our meals and pizzas don’t need gluten, wheat or dairy to taste delicious, that’s why you’ll never find them in any of our recipes.
Jacob loved my meals so much, he is now an integral part of the Kirty’s team, helping us deliver new & exciting products.
